“From the age of 4 years old I enjoyed attending Burnley’s home and away games. Ever since a young age I have owned a Burnley season ticket. This encouraged me to start playing football for a local team named Readstone United at the age of 7 up until the age of 11 years old. In my teenage years I began to play for Burnley girls and ladies under 12’s where we came close to winning the league many times, which then subsequently improved my knowledge of football as well as my skills in playing.”
“In the duration of the 6 years that I spent at Burnley ladies under 12’s, I developed more confidence which resulted in myself getting chosen to trial for Lancashire schools FA. Following the success of the trials I progressed into the Lancashire team at the age of 13 in 2015. The under 14’s team had great success when I played the part in beating Shropshire, Durham and Hertfordshire which led to the team reaching the English schools FA county final. The squad and myself faced Essex at the championship side Birmingham City’s St Andrews ground. This proceeded to end 3-2 in an injury time penalty where we sealed a 3-2 win. I then continued to play for Lancashire for an extra year. At the age of 16 I left Burnley ladies and later joined a local team, Barrowford ladies, whom I currently play for.”
Throughout her traineeship at sensible soccer Millie will work in and experience customer services, coaching masterclasses with Mike Phelan, will be responsible for social media content on tik tok.
